Hot in Seattle
Summer came early today - it’s pushing 85 this afternoon. which feels amazingly hot. We got back from a church dinner group brunch around 1. Eli was beside himself, crying incessantly. It was so hot in the house. Around 2pm, I grabbed him and took him for a walk in the stroller, intending to head down to Lake Washington where it was cooler, and hopefully he would fall asleep in the carriage.
He did.
I came back around 3:30 or so to find Michelle gone to Lily Nails… I met her on the way back and we walked to Columbia City, had a lovely early dinner at Tutta Bella, and then walked to Safeway. Eli was still unconscious, finally waking up around 5:45 ready to eat.
I had an agenda for myself this afternoon - finish the recording booth, plant a tree, more yard work. But it wasn’t Eli’s agenda. And that is just fine.
